By a secret vote of 137 to 122, House Democrats ended the 28-year reign of John Dingell(who is literally married to an executive for GM) by replacing him with Henry Waxman , the author of the “Safe Climate Act” and a true global warming champion. Henry Waxman will now be the chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee. This is as momentous for the likelihood of science-based global warming policy as the election of Barack Obama.
