It Takes More Than A Speech To Make A Good President.

They are right. It takes a lot more than being able to give a good speech. We all know that.

It’s the man who gives the speech that makes the difference. It’s the man who inspires us that will make the change happen within us.

What do we remember about John F. Kennedy? His words,”Ask not what your country can do for you–ask what you can do for your country” inspired us to do great things. It was because of President Kennedy that we visited the moon, formed the Alliance for Progress, the Peace Corps, and helped bring the idealism of America to developing nations.

From the beginning, his presidency was plagued with problems like the Cuban Missile Crisis and the threat of the Soviet Union and it’s campaign against West Berlin. By standing firm against the threat of a nuclear world war, he stood down Russia and Cuba. It was also during his tenure that we made great strides with Equal Rights for all men.

And as imperfect as he was, as imperfect as his Presidency was, he remains to this day the point of reference when we compare ourselves on how much we have improved and how much we have accomplished.

This candidacy is not about the man who wants to be in the White House. It’s about who we, as a nation, will become when the President Elect takes office and leads us down our future path.
